I need a source for steel caster shims for my FJ40. Were can I find them?
4Crawler Offroad Products <---- link
Others have used these steel shims:
4Crawler Offroad Products - Custom Leaf Spring Shims
Any other suppliers for this? Some one closer to the East Coast.
look for custom spring shops near by.. they might be able to help you/point you in the right direction
Good Idea, I'll check that out. Were do you all get your caster shims? I read so many post about shims, were are you getting them from?
honestly didn't have time to order them from a custom shop or another place and wait/didn't want to pay that much for steel right now. went cheap and easy with the aluminum ones from CCOT.. i know they will go bad eventually but I'm not really gonna wheel this truck so I should be good for a while. I got a set of shims and pins for half what it would cost for steel.
search for steel shims - there is a thread with one or two other sources
Get the steel ones! You should of seen the aluminum ones that were put on by the PO. Deformed and hammered.
I put aluminum ones on mine but it's not a DD. THey were very affordable at 4wheelparts.com
