I am replacing the spark plug tube gasket in the valve cover. I am having problems getting them seated. I have the tool with the disks that I put on a handle that I hit with a hammer. I get them in but they are not seated all the way around. Do I just keep beating them till they are seated all the way around? I have hammered them many times and don't want to damage the gaskets.

I got them in all the way. I used a BFH.
It was a good thing I had the new gaskets. The old ones were dried and cracked. 220000mi
