I bet those 33x1.05s are tricky to wheel with

Might try at least an 8" or 10" wide three

Just guessing.....I don't even own a rig

upper Peninsula, eh? Are you a yooper?

This past summer I took my '97 TLC80 and my family (in that priority order) on a weeklong camping trip to some beautiful beach-side tenting (Mouth of the Huron, and a spot near Munising). Trying to get back there this summer...

I've done a little 'wheeling' (really back-road scenic driving) with UP Overland expedition, camping on High Rock Point for example. Do you have some suggestions for good places to go up there?

Any where along Lake Superior all the way over to Ashland Wi......I love it up there. Even in the middle of summer when most places are packed with people, not the UP. We pulled into several municipal campgrounds on the water with out reservation in the middle of the summer and got nice sites.
Cooper Harbor ranks way up there, long drive but worth it. There are also state trails that are legal for full size vehicles which is unusual.
Munising has a nice municipal campground right on the water just west of town. There is also a nice one also right on the water in Grand Marais. While there check out pictured rocks.
We are going to try and get back up there again this summer for at least one week.

I spent 4 years in the 'Copper Country' for college. Beautiful scenery, but very depressed financially. I suspect the high fuel prices are making it even worse. The UP is very dependent on tourism for cash flow.

Were you by Rockford a couple weeks back? I'm thinking it was a Sunday. I was the one drooling from my minivan.

yeah, almost worth organizing a wheeling trip just to see it... ;)

Oh, wait. Scratch that, I'd bawl if it got whacked up. Make it a wheelin' MEETIN'.

K

There's a HJ47 in Channahon?

That's pretty flippin cool.

Welcome.
