If anyone wants to donate there saginaw pump bracket for a few days a local machine shop is willing to make a modified version for a fraction of the price. He already did it with the box brackets and I have them for sale for $60. The box brackets are awesome, just doing this for the newer guys who dont want to fork out $200 for 2 brackets..

    Thanks

Since there are more than one style of bracket on the market, and more than a few that are of very good quality, which one are you specifically looking to rip off and sell for less? ;)

    P/S brackets

I like to think that I was giving everyone who bought my brackets the best quality for a reasonable price.
My gearbox bracket is made from 1/2" steel, welded and gusseted. I don't think any others were that thick.
The pump bracket that I sell was designed by me for my FJ40 because I didn't want the ones that were available where you needed to remove the head bolts. I also included the adjusting arm, stud for the water pump, and all the mounting hardware.

I have always known someone would RIP OFF my pump bracket so I hope that you give the same quality and service that I have given to everyone who has bought my brackets. Thanks Bill

That is what I have been running on my junk since I did the Saginaw conversion back in 1992....

Just a little grinding to get the ham can pump body to clear, and you are good to go.

I'm using the old F alternator bracket for my pump bracket mount and a mini-truck pump bracket with a couple of mods. I wanted to keep my F air filter.

I see nothing wrong with someone providing another source for these parts. If it's cheaper then it makes for good competition. But it had better be as good or better than what's out there.

Translation = Hey to all you guys that spent all of your time and a lot of money R & D ing things. Donate one too me when they are done so I can copy the shee-it out of them sell them cheaper. I will have no extra expence since I'm just copying a proven product that you have spent your time and money on developing!

I promise I won't put made in China on it.

Damn! Did I actually write that? I know I was thinking it when I read the 1st post to this thread.

GM does. The junk yard is full of them. Take your pick.

Why not design a new and better one? Some things to consider are what years and engines will it be compatible with? FJ55s and FJ60s too? Allows the use on smog control vehicles or not? There aren't that many different places to mount one on Fs and early 2Fs, so chances are it will be similar to something that is already out there.

People reward innovation, but copying leaves a bad taste in some poeple's mouth. Competition is the American way; copying is not.
