nice rig, do u have pics of the front end with the shortbus with
the hellas on, looking to get this bumper but wondering how and where to mount the lights.

and what rims r those, they stock size steel, or differnet offsets etc

it comes with tabs on the center hoop...

edit: forgot the rim info, the rims are Pro Comp 7"x 16" with 4" offset. i needed to go narrower
to run the 255s. the track width from inside rim to inside rim remains the same but the overall
track width narrows about an inch and a half which is part of the reason for going flareless.

What did you do about the holes left behind by the flares? Almost looks like white tape in the last photo (Baja 10 days pic)

white plastic plugs. i drilled out the square and small holes so i used just one size....

...one of the perks of a white truck.

I'm curious how you like those 255's as well. What's your MPG with all the mods? Great looking ride and well built for what you do with it.

TK

when i swapped the stock rubber to the 255s i didn't notice much drop
in highway mileage but geared up with the roof rack i'm down about
2 - 2.5 mpg. i love the 255s so far, the lack of flotation in deep sand
is the only downside IMHO.....

(although strappin a broke down bronco off the course thru deep sand
and truck whoops dropped my milage into the 3 mpg range):whoops:

schaweet... does the ninja Lego man equate to requirement that you wear your ninja mask while driving?

it's the logo of our pit crew....

....the ninja mask is optional.

how much does one of these cost, i'd buy one then move to so cal

Sweet rig, a clone of mine:D.

Sweet rig and love the ninja decal.:flipoff2:

That is a great buildup...and great reasoning to do so! the logo is totally BA too...Sometimes I wake up imagining I was a Pit Ninja in another life. Sweet ride, man, keep up the great work!

Nice rig!

Where did you mount your FT-7800 and the antenna? Did you use a remote kit? Pics would be helpful.

Thanks!

very nice write up. ive been wanting to get down there to explore. a friend of mine has invited me a few times. looks like fun. oh yeah and sweet rig! im partial to white myself.:D thanks fo the write up!

funny thing, this was the first baja run i've made on four wheel.
on the way up to San Borla we take a break at the turnoff to the
cave paintings as some guys on bikes pass us going the other way.
the guys i'm traveling with (also first time down in a cage) both say
how much they wish they were on bikes. now i'm sitting there
sipping a cold beverage straight out of the fridge, chillin in the ac,
listening to miles and coltrane on kind of blue, thinking to myself -
"miss the bike, not so much right now".....
