cdan,

what year did Toyota convert from r12 to r134? I have a 97 that I can finally get her filled (replaced the interior cooling unit as I had fibre glassed, hot glued and ducted taped since the rebuild) so now I can filler up, but with which one?

Dan may be more precise, but I believe the changeover date was March 1993. You have an r134 unit.

 Simon was very close. It was actually may 1993.The last frame number to have R12 is JT3DJ81xxxxx38946. '38947 is the first frame with R134.
