quick hardtop question

    are the top panels of fj40s the same, regardless of year? ie: if the raingutters on a '65 are bad, can I just get a different year top panel?thanks!

    hey,

    i've just finished putting a '78 fiberglass top on my '72 sides. if this is what you're talking about, i doubt you'll have much trouble. i'm pretty sure the holes all line up on the raingutter and the sides.

    one thing you need to watch out for though: the piece that bolts to the windshield frame is different for different years, depending on the placement of the wiper motor and the location of bolt holes.

    thank you.I haven't actually seen how bad it is yet, I wont get the cruiser for 3-4 weeks yet, just getting some ideas...

    I've got a hardtop for a 68 that's primed and ready for paint.
    Real good shape. $225 in Evanston,WY
    Might save you a bunch of work if you're close enough to pick it up.
