Parting this engine after importing it all the way from the UK and determining that it has very low to zero compression. So fantastic... Compression numbers on cylinders 1-6: 200psi, 20psi, 540psi, 520psi, 200psi, 330psi. My guess it was over-revved and there's a hole in the #2 piston. It does still rotate and none of the valves appear to be hung up. I guess we'll see what really happened when it all comes apart.....

A few prices to get this going...

24V starter, tested, cranks like crazy: $225
Toyota CT26 Turbo, spins freely, bearings feel good, the impeller has a few small chips in the blades: $650
Toyota Alternator, includes pulley, I'll test before shipping to make sure it works: $150
Power Steering Pump with factory reservoir and line, no HP hose, FZJ hose will adapt: $200 SOLD
Toyota Vacuum pump with vacuum lines: $200 SOLD
Toyota Injector Pump, #759, P/N: 22100-17590: $300 SOLD

Update: Vacuum pump sold...All heat shields are sold....Turbo cross-over pipe sold....Exhaust Manifold sold...
 
Oh yeah, this is an "everything must go" type deal. I just reached the point on tear down where the camshaft is about ready to come out. It looks fine so far and turns freely. No weird wear marks that I can see. The bearing journals are still bolted in place though.

$250 (+shipping) for the camshaft + all the related bearing journals and bolts. I'll provide plenty of pics once it's out if you're interested.

The plan right now is to sell the complete short block as a "rebuildable core", other than that, everything else is leaving in pieces.
 
Well, much to my surprise, the head is now off and there's nothing obviously wrong with the rotating assembly...go figure. Parts are shipping out....

1HD-T head, heavy as hell, does not include camshaft, valves visually look good, $750

Camshaft with all bearing caps and bolts labeled 1-7 facing the exhaust side, $250

1HD-T complete short block assembly including oil pan, $1000

1HD-T complete engine wiring harness, originally for auto trans, $200

Toyota OEM fuel filter and mount, includes factory harness, no heater, $100

Yep, I gave it a quick media blasting this morning to clean it up so you can see what you're getting. Includes the temp sensor, the seal surface is in good shape too. $25+shipping

The retainers for the cam HAVE TO STAY WITH THE CYLINDER HEAD since they're line bored. Otherwise the head is useless.

Yeah, I was not aware about the caps, they'll go with the head. Thanks for the info

Yep, prior to removal I stamped the caps 1-7 facing the exhaust side of the engine. The head is ready to go now...

Lots of parts are still available, MAKE ME AN OFFER ON ANYTHING

Injectors: $250 They were removed and tagged 1-6. Like any used injector, I'd have these rebuilt before putting them to use. INJECTORS: SOLD

Glow Plugs: $50
