The Southern Nevada Land Cruisers will be conducting a run on Saturday, November 16, 2013. The run will be on the Cottonwood Pass trail south of The Pahrump Highway (SR160) near Mount Potosi and other trails in that area and near Goodsprings.
We will be meeting at the Blue Diamond Travel Center (a gas station at 12325 Nevada 160, Las Vegas - West, NV 89445 ) located at the intersection of Blue Diamond Rd SR159 and SR 160 (The Pahrump Highway). We will be leaving from the Gas station at 8:30 AM.
The trail was damaged by the rains in the Spring Mountains since the big fire this summer. The trail is much rougher than the last time we drove on it. So, expect a challenging drive. Make sure you bring a lunch, chairs, cameras, etc. I was there last weekend and we saw about 20 wild horses in the area.
