I just joined and am new to the forum. I just bought my first Cruiser. 1984 FJ60 with 230,000 +miles. I am not new to mudding and crawling, been doing it for years. Broncos, Blazers, Ford & Chevy trucks, Suburbans.
I have built many hot rods and this Cruiser is the first vehicle I have owned that doesn't have 8 cylinders. I am wondering if any has any suggestions on were the best place is to get performance parts for the 2f in the cruiser. I understand I have a tractor motor in a heavy truck, but still need to tinker. I want to eliminate all of the SMOG system, go with a ceramic header, aluminum intake, 2 or three row aluminum radiator, electronic ignition, small cam, aND a 5 speed to help with highway driving. I am not looking for dragster here, just a little more power. For when I put a 3" lift and 35's on the truck.
