Semi-resto project is now in the carpet phase. High quality dark gray automotive carpet will be used throughout. Old plastic wheel well covers are pretty rough so they are not going back in. Carpeting will be used instead.

Beneath carpet: 1/2" Padding with Cruise**cr*p underneath. Cc rap doubled up around trans hump.

Will replicate driver heel pad with similar material.

Added dark gray vinyl to cover metal above wheel well just below door pinch welt. Vinyl matches seat sides upholstery.

Very nice. Who or where did you get leather seat covers? Cost?

Custom made front and bench seats. My uncle does prototype and custom interiors for a shop. The original foam required a lot rebuilding and forming to add lumbar support. Cost: materials alone were probably $1,000 plus. Labor cost: numerous barbeques and many cold beers.

Looks great. I don't need new foam or rebuild and was hoping just the leather covers were sold as patten set somewhere.

Wheel well carpet installation.

The red cable in the background is for the rear power outlets.

Nice. Your uncle should make patterns from your seats and carpet. If he offered seat covers in cloth or vinyl material...and loop or pyle carpet in the right colors he'd have quite the side business from the 60 crowd if it was a good combo of price / quality.

Man that looks sweet. Like lakenormanfj_40 stated, if the price was right I would be down for some new carpet.

Carpet install is pretty much complete (save rear seat back which is on rear seat yet pending install). The other pending items are vinyl trim near soon to be installed wagongear side panels. That will require a small section of additional binding to be stitched to wheel well covers.

Where did you get the carpet? Happy with the CC?

CC.....so far so good.
Carpet is from custom interior and upholstery shop that builds the Porche 911 Singer Design vehicles.

Hard to see in the pics; is the carpet stitched or molded to shape? Original OEM carpet was molded, but stitched is a much better looking way to go IMHO
