Pilot, havent ventured out too far but pretty sure all the snow is gone now. Hit 26 degrees last week and now were gettin rain so if there was some left itll be gone. Lakes have been open for a gouple weeks now.

So i got the king pin rebuild kits and forged lower plates from yukon friday but had to go back to work so nothin got done. They had a pretty bad fire in one of the switch rooms while i was on holidays so we arent doing much and im hoping to be able to get a week of specials (banked vacation) this coming week so i can get the kp job done and make it out to camp on the weekend. Seems i always get screwed over and have to work the may 24 weekend but maybe ill get a chance to get out this year.

s***, also have to do the water pump on the pos dodge. Dammit.

One thing off the list. Dodge got a new water pump, plugs and serpentine belt. Plugs looked to be the ones that came with the truck 180xxx km ago and were done. 16 new ones later and the truck seems to have woken up quite a bit. Maybe it's just me though.

Might get to the 60 tomorrow.

I've read that using that kingpin spring with really large tires can cause death wobble because the spring doesn't have enough tension to handle the weight of the tire. This is why I got springless arms for my D60 that use an allen set screw instead of a spring.

Yeah eh, now you say something.

Tell you the truth mine hasnt had the wobble in the 5 years ive had it.. Not gonna pretend i know whats goin on under the arm since thisll be the first time i dig into it.

Ill just cross my fingers lol.

I'll keep mine crossed too.

NWF arms, machined to clear H1 rims. The cups on the bottom house a large flat washer that presses down on the nylon cup directly.

Right on thanks man. Ill see what the deal is when i take them apart and go from there. If its just the conventional kp set up ill just redo them and see how it rides, but if theres wobble ill look into new histeer arms like yours.

Well, the new king pins went on last week and they got rid of the play i had. Johnny suggested upgrading to new steering arms with preload adjustment bolts so those are on order from a guy on pirate. She may get the big tires thrown on today and get taken for a rip if i can get buddies tj tube fenders painted and out of the way.

Went for a quick run up to lake 20 yesterday evening for a fire and a little wheeling. It was raining off and on but let up just as we got to the fire spot and we had a good 3 hours until it started up again. And holy s*** did it come down, i was getting jungle flashbacks from nam on the way out... Not much better on the road, was hydroplaning like a mofo on the back roads that had standing water.

Anyways heres a couple shots of dudes flopped runner. He was climbing a little ledge right at the camp site and slid sideways and went over. Flipped it back over with some creative winching and besides some dents and a broken cargo window it was good to go.

My buddy held his rock crawl in Capreol this weekend and this is all i got. Didnt even bust out my gopro so heres some parts of my run other ppl managed to get. Had a great time and didnt break anything.

Caution there is a couple few swear words in the music on the vids.... so if youre sensitive turn the sound off...
