I’m aware of 2 pristine late model FJ40’s 4-Sale out of the Lafayette area. If you know of someone that is interested please give them my contact info. The blue one is an 81 coming off a recent restoration, the yellow Ms Donna’s an 82 model went through a minor restoration years ago but has many new additions. From a use it and hit the trails perspective Ms Donna’s is setup and ready to go updated power steering, lockers, highlift, winch and new BFG KM2 tires. The blue one is for the most part restored to stock. Both have the hardtop and doors to match and priced correctly for what they have in it and work done on them. Both are selling in the 26K range.
Don't forget mine! The fiberglass top is currently being refurbished by Fiberglass Fabricators. Hope to have everything completed in the next couple of weeks. It will then go on Ebay...

I hate to sale the 40... The rig taught me a lot, and built my confidence... but, I seemed to have caught the fzj80/lx450 bug! I would like to build an expedition vehicle. I want a rig I can drive to Alaska to see friends, and then go south and visit friends in Costa Rico. I love the 40. but it's just not made for long overland trips.

No I certainly agree the 40's are awesome in their own element exploring but the 80 is perfect for what you're wanting to do for long road trips and expedition use. We've enjoyed ours immensely
I have an 8274 that I would like to part with. It has a rebuilt motor. I will throw in an Albright type solenoid and a steel hawse fairlead.

Thanks for sharing, I don't know anyone looking in that price range but if we run across someone we'll point them your way. We have two really nice 40's here locally for club members listed in the 26K range if you get some calls from some folks that don't have that budget we maybe able to help them find one.

Damn Larry! What kind of MPG's you get in that thing?
She averaged 13mpg hauling kids and daily driving to and from work, our trips to Tennessee we averaged 17/18 loaded
Has a trailer brake controller on it as well when it was a young lad it towed a 27FT camper on two trips with no problems.
