:-/ so i went to the longfield site and it says 79 & up front axles,i got a 78 under the truck,was i reading it wrong or am i sol for stronger fr axles? whats up? i pretty much decided to buy these, now im looking for a bridge!

Longfields will work fine....the bell is slightly larger diameter and the shaft slightly shorter. You'll need to completely disassemble the knuckle and take your 4-1/2" angle grinder inside to open things up a tad until the Longfield fits in there...then, when you reinstall your lockouts, instead of a circlip on the end of the birfield you'll instead use a fender washer and bolt thru the threaded end.

I run em on my 77 housing with no problems.

I've got them in my '76, although I did replace the whole oputer stub axle and brakes, as the '76 outer shaft has the course splines.
