I have a basically stock fj-60, except I think ccot might have added a leaf to the spring packs when they owned it a couple of years ago. But the ride quality of my cruiser is pretty terrible. Everytime I go onto a dirt road or when the paved road gets a little bumpy it is like I am on Mr. Toad's wild ride. The cruiser just bounces up and down almost as if neither the springs, or shocks are working very well. I am planning on redoing my suspension, and I am looking for a lift option that offers good highway manners, a smooth ride on unpaved or dilapitated roads, but is still tough enough to do some serious wheeling. I hope that some of yall can share with me what has worked with your 60's

Spring over with extended swaybar links would fit your needs, up to serious offroading and will provide a smooth ride.

Or OME.

For the softest riding springs I would spring for the Old Man Emu stuff for sure.
