Got this yesterday in the mail.

    Class action suit.

Lawsuit claims that certain components of the braking system, including rotors in the years 95-97 must be replaced too soon. Toyota maintains that rotors and others parts of the brakes are high quaility components of the vehical.

Under the program you may be entitled to recive

    - up to $175 if you paid to replace your rotors within 3 years/36,000 miles warrnanty period

-up to $350 if you paid to replace the same rotors a 2nd time before 42,000 miles

Gary McCluskey, et al vrs Toyota Motor Sales et all

then a bunch of other stuff I'm not gonna type.......

Maybe it's not news? but its the 1st I heard of this

It's been bantered around a bit recently on 80's cool and maybe a mention on this board. The Lawyers (sorry -H-) made a KILLING on this one.

Interesting - rotors on my '94 went 90K, but ever since then I've has a brake squeal with light pressure that Yota has not been able to solve.

OK, I know it's getting old but I can't resist -- If the rotors and pads are the same why wouldn't this lawsuit apply to 93-94's?? Could the distinguishing feature be the lack of engine braking on the mighty 343!!! ;) :D :D ::)

C-Dan I know Mr. T would never raise parts prices to pay for this lawsuit so do you guys have to take a pay cut to cover the expense or will you be cutting back on free cookies and coffee in the service lounge?

The only problem with Rotors on Landcruiser that I have heard of is with 105 Series, With the Rotors becoming unbalenced. :ban:
