In about a month, I will be moved into my new shop, and will finally be able to do my conversion to 55 springs on the rear of my 40.

The question is: instead of just flipping the mount around, I am wondering if I would gain much by making the new rear shackle hanger using a johnny joint style (probably will use the RE units). Anybody done this yet opr have an informed opinion?

Also will the increased flex cause my cruiser slip joint to be too short and pull apart? If so, does anyone know if a longer joint that will fit the Cruiser tubing or should I just pony up and send it down to Jess at Hi-Angle?

TIA,

Jim
