Hey all, glad to find this clubhouse! I posted in the general 80 tech already but it's nice to see some fellow desert rats... Name is Dave from NE Mesa. I'm a Toyota fanatic. I won't own anything else nor will my wife! I have a 89 SAS ex cab and just picked up a super clean 92 FJ80 that I can't wait to build! Hope to tag along on trip soon.

So the plan is to base line the 80, Then build it up for a vacation cruiser.
And I take it with me at work and do some off road traveling.
My current gig is in Mojave so as I have energy after work. I have been all over the place, Jaw Bone, Randsburg, Cal city and other places.

Grand Lakes Co. High Alt Testing

And I race my 650whp Subaru and collect, restore old Ducati motorcycles. So mechanical stuff or ECU work. Feel free to ask. I also own a online parts store for performance car parts. (funds the race car) The 80 is a steep learning curve though.

Welcome aboard CarbonCorsa, Friday 4/17 is the CSC meet, usually a great turn of nice folks and cool rigs. You should bring the 80, you'll fit right in, aside from it not being white.

Welcome and thanks for the beautiful pics. Grand Lakes Co. is now on my future travel destination list. Hopefully, there will be a place close by to rent one of those killer Maverick X's. Maybe even the DS turbo.

Hey Y'all again,
Had a great conversation with Mark yesterday at 4 wheel parts and the wife and i are looking forward to getting to the 4-17 meet just to get acquainted some.

The grill guard and tail light guards are likely the first things to go but lots of little/big things we would like to do next.

hi everyone, I recently picked up a 96 with 180000 miles, in pretty decent shape. I have mostly owned tacomas and have not turned a wrench on anything since I had a VW in high school. That said I am looking for mentors in the Flag area...I looked up Good Carma but the appear to be closed?

Im new to the Fj world. Would like to meet experienced Fj40 owners and pick there brains. Overhauling the motor as we speak. Im interested in joining you guys on a few of your 4X expeditions. I also own a 3rd generation 4Runner that loves the back country.
