Stock 79 Scout II 304, dana 44 front and rear 3.53 gear ratio.
I hauled a load of wood off the mountain, now the locker seems to be partly engaging or not wanting to disengage. Serious popping from the driver side spider gear when turning.
Upon inspection main driver side spider gear has evidence of chipping.
Now, what I done- changed fluids/ LS additive- NO change, still popping/ slipping.
What makes this happen? What kind of LS is this? What do you all suggest i change out?
