Headrest compatibility ??? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys...need help. I'm looking at some stock 78 FJ 40 seats that will need recovered, but the guy sold the headrests already. My question is....Will 79-84 headrests work on my 78 seats? Will any other headrests work? Or...do I have to get 75-78 headrests? Thanks and let me know.

The later ones are different and won't work. Spacing is wrong. This style goes back past 75 to 73 when the bucket seats started in the US market. Earlier (73/74?) were a little different but are the same spacing for the posts.
