I have decided to give away this truck to a family that could use a reliable, yet ugly, 60. I have zero interest in money nor trades. I just want to put this truck into the hands of someone that is having hard times and could really use a vehicle right now. I don't expect it to be anyone on this board but I'm sure we all know someone that could just use a helping hand.

Now the truck is a daily driver now (my sister-in-law has been using it). If you read thru the thread you will know what I've already done to it: http://forum.ih8mud.com/60-series-wagons/343816-new-me-meet-rizzabella.html

I will take care of getting it smog'd so that the person/family that gets the truck doesn't have to worry about it. I will also take care of anything obvious that it will need so that they aren't saddled with any large expenses.

Truck starts reliably, drives great and has new tires. More than likely I will be taking the roof rack off and using it on my son's 60 (my current DD). Please feel free to post up here or send me a PM.

Would be nice to not have to drive it a few states away but I would be willing to delivery it on my dime to a reasonable location.

I know of a family that is down on their luck (vehicle wise). They blew a motor in one car, nephew wrecked the other.

This has been going on for months, and the wife and I have been offering up rides for the mom on our way into town.

Last week she had a blod clot and almost died (or at least it had the potential to be lethal). Shit you not; real bad run of luck.
A solid car would be a significant leg up for these folks.

They are good folks, let me know if you can't find a decent candidate that's more local.
I will drive it out if need be.

I'm open. Lets keep the communication open. I would prefer something more local but I would also like the truck to go to someone who could really use it.

Really nice of you Joey. Class act man.

I'd fly out tomorrow to pick her up and bring it to the family in need in Colorado if you get everything else arranged.

    Lemme know.

THAT is cool of you. I need to get it smogged first and take care of the DMV. Not sure what else needs to be take care of but I'd like to eliminate any issues before it goes out. I would ideally like to see this happen before xmas so that maybe it can get to that family in time for xmas.

edit: I'll cover your flight as well. I mean it IS only one way :flipoff2:

    Despite the sometimes seemingly mocking and even hateful retorts during debate and discussion here in chat;

There are a lot of generous and genuine people that hang out here.

    to you all.

    Good on ya!

Would it have to be smoged if it's going out of state?

Not all states require it. I suppose ultimately it will depend on who gets it. If the person/family that does get decide they need to sell it, it would be good that they can get top $ for it being as it's smogg'd. We'll see.

    Agreed.

If any needs arise that aren't covered moneywise, don't hesitate to allow some of us to chip in.

Sounds good. I will find out full details today. I will forward you the family's info privately when ive got it and see if the family is cool with this being full public. Let me know what level of "surprise" you want. I believe she's still in the hospital, but ill find out for sure.

She asked me a month ago to keep my ears open for a cheap ride, and the wife and i were contemplating loaning her our suburban until she could get back on her feet. Then the clot happened.

The dad is in construction and has been out if work for bit, so i think she was the only bread winner. We have a collection going at work for them.

I know they have one son who looks to be fourish, and i believe they have another.
    Ill find out.

Im also willing to fly and drive (if need be).

    :hmm:

Hell of a way to recruit a new mudder, huh?
Solid work for the holidays :smokin:.

No emissions here btw, if that changes your plans on work it might need.

It goes without saying that it will come with a mechanic, should they ever need.;)
