Front axle bump stop (1 Viewer)

Another newbie SOA question. One of the Tech Area articles shows and recommends bump stops be "re-installed" with an SOA on top of the top U bolt plate. It makes good sense, BUT it's the only article that mentions it.
I like the design, and the idea.............any others out there?

mine are in the stock location front and rear....but I do run taller than stock stops.

Also, with the Scout PS, I recently installed a custom spring stop to prevent pitman arm contact. Hope to test in a couple weeks.
