Naw. You got it made, wife and kid and land!

Oh, I know I am VERY blessed, but Uncle Eric (got a nice ring to it) would definitely be the FUN one. Hannah would love to cruise around with uncle E in the digger

And the it AIN'T fixed yet... Needs a seal. rotor, and pads on this side...

You gone hafta axe Nickalotapus. It was a present when I bought it. Both issues were presents. This is the truck that keeps on giving.

Which side was that rotor from? I didnt remember seeing that. I knew the rear axle seal was leaking...

Front driver was the rotor.
To date: the above pics of the brakes. Also replaced master cylinder, and will have to replace the front passenger knuckle because the incorrect bolt stripped all threads that secure the caliper.

Pic of wood holding in a bolt that acts as a pin

I've driven the truck maybe 2 miles total. LOL. One trip ended up driving it a few hundred yards to find the front dif was s***. Then the second trip nearly killed me when the brakes failed and I went speeding down GoodBadUgly backwards. And hit a tree at about 35mph in reverse.
It's been quite the project truck.

Dang. Can't find the damage pic from the hit when a tree stopped me. I'll find it and post it. Luckily a tree stopped me. Luckily I was wearing a helmet because the back of my head smacked the cross bar very violently. So bad that the only person with me thought I might be concussed. Not joking. It was a violent hit that nearly brought a big tree down when I hit it.

Well. It's gone hold it on until I can get the parts rig in and axle pulled and knuckle off. DONE. But not for a few weeks.

Simple axle seal leak turns into a $175 project...

One step forward, three steps back...

I see at least a new rotor and caliper, guessing new guts inside along with that new seal. Gotta love it... #nuthinnicewithoutlotsofwork

Seals for both sides OEM - $65
Rotor from Advance- $55
Caliper WITH core turn in from Advance- $50
grease tub - $10

WHEW!
Got one of Bertha's knuckles on F.Digger now! no more wood block holding in the wrong bolt!
Unfortunately I've decided, these TRE's just won't do...

Folks... the trunion bearings bolts, while WILL fit nicely in the brake calipers... they have a different thread pitch than the brake caliper bolts... trunion bolts have flat head tops... brake bolts have recessed heads...PLEASE be advised.

 I have almost been down this path but caught it soon enough to avoid stripping out anything.

It's honestly Toyotas damned fault... WHY would they have different thread pitch for the trunions-only?! I can't tell you how many times I've seen people, including myself years ago, use the wrong dang bolts...

F.Digger got reliable brakes now! DAMN! They are so toight! It's nuts!
two new rotors one up front one in rear, new pads in rear, new MC, fresh fluid pressure bled... BOOM!

No... gotta figure why the junk blows massive amounts of smoke when running.... I can't leave it crank even with the shop door open or it sets of the motorhouses carbon-monoxide detector! #NotLying

You like the power bleeder? I been eyeing those for a while but just never pulled the trigger.

Once you get seal tight on the MC... You almost think it's not working because it's so easy...
