fj60 steering column in a fj40 (1 Viewer)

Greetings all... im doing a fj60 power steering convresion in my fj40, my question is it possible or does it make sense to fabricate the fj60 steering column into my fj40 reason being that the fj40 does not carry a bearing on the firewall not sure if the 60 does?.. Ive seen guys wield in a bearing into the column shaft housing i would like to avoid this if possible any feedback would be appreciated thanks.....
