I have the following supplies left over from my Rear jump seat Cover install.

FJ40 Rear jump seat covers install 101

Foam: High Density Closed cell foam from one of my suppliers, in both 3 inch and 1 inch thicknesses. Same foam used in Boat seats.

Some of the foam you will find in the retails stores were not firm enough IMO.
Look for the following when buying foam:
IDL (Firmness – lbs to compress the foam) – I bought foam with a IDL of 40
Density (weight – lbs per cubic foot) I bought 2.8

Screws:
Pan head #8, with #8 counter sunk washers. #6 might have worked, but on some of the holes the #6 screw was loose, so I went with #8 all around.

Wire: 16 gauge-galvanized wire. 12 feet of it

$50, plus shipping. Send me your Zip, and I'll box it up and send you a final price.

I have two sets for sale - one is sold.

I will take them. PM me payment prefence.

Iam not sure about correct thickness for OEM sized covers. I used CCOT covers for my seats. Read thru the thread, was not sure what year my seats where, so I just cut this from the old foam.

Yes - the 1" foam is smaller.

Is the foam the correct thickness for OEM sized covers? Is the 1" foam smaller than the 3" to fit in the "tray" of the seat pans?

Saw your write up on the seat install. I have the smaller rear seats, but I'm sure I can make this work! I'll take the last set please. Pm payment info and I'll get it out ASAP.

Thanks!

Any more available ?

I would take a kit.

Jim

I would be interested, mine are seats from a stock '78

Tired of waiting for communication (over two months) I'm out.
