Too lazy to type it all up, the numbers are in the first post, but here is what I picked up recently so the stuff is still available. The hose clamps are zinc not cad plated, I tried the windshield hook/latch number 53504-90300 is updated to the new style hook.

And a copy of the invoice for the numbers and idea of fair pricing from the dealer. ;)

Thanks Jim. Now I have to go to my parts book and try to figure out what the parts numbers are. Are those bib lights still cheap as in under twelve dollars? One item not worth buying used. The bumperettes were still around $35 new. Not worth the effort to buy a used set and repair. Was the glass a windshield and the next two the molding and key? How many parts came back as no longer available like the pintle eyebolts?

After seeing the cost I hope it doesn't set your rehab back.

Windshield glass?

Cruiser_Nerd, could you do me a favor and look at the stamp on the windshield you have pictured above, please? Is it designated a FJ25? BJ25? FJ40?

The cracked windshield in my 1961 FJ40 is stamped "BJ25." I am considering a replacement, but if possible would like to know before ordering what model number is stamped on the windshield you bought. Crusiserdan was unable to provide any information on part number 56111-60011 other than price, location and availability.

This is what I got, no FJorBJ anything.

the fuel filter assy does not have a glass bowl anymore, it will have a metal bowl, and is only a buck or two more than the element, so worth buying the assy. i'm guessing the plugs wires are updated to newer style with boots over the plugs. is the inspection lamp updated als

i'm guessing you were looking at 25 stuff since 40 wouldn't have a shift boot...did 25s have an optional backup lamp? i think the 40s did, which is where i assume the backup lamp switch would come into play.

FJ25 did have a optional back up light though I've never seen more than the listing for it. Would be interesting to see where the switch would mount. Also curious if this is for the FJ25 or the part book for the 61 FJ40?

Reman starter assy with 84 at the end makes me think this is the gear reduction starter. The early starter was update in the mid sixties and doubt after the original sold out anymore would be available.

Fog lights I believe are same ones that SOR sells. SOR sells them with mounting bracket. I bought a set of fog lights from CDan years ago and the mounting bracket was NLA thru Toyota. Steve at Owens Export brought in some brackets and guessing SOR source for the fog lights.

Shift lever boot on a FJ25 was a square piece of rubber. Early FJ40 I'm not sure what the boot would look like. My guess this is the round rubber boot that worked from mid 63 thru early 74 model three speeds.

On the fuel filter is the element from the steel body the same as the glass body?

What about the oil filters are those still available?

The book is labelled FJ25 and has many of the old part numbering system superseding to the modern day part numbering system.

The starter is not gear reduced.
