I was looking into the factory manual with a bit more attention then I have previously and noticed that there is a supposed domestic (USA) 4 speed that bolts on to the F motor and has a first of like five and a half to 1 first gear. Three questions. Is this transmission for real? If so I am sorry that I am letting that much more of the world know about something that I should keep hush hush to make it easier to for my grubby little hands. &nbsp:Did it bolt to the same earlier transfer case as the prior years J30 3 speed on the floor shift? &nbsp:Did this transmission have the same bolt hole pattern for mounting on the later 2F bell housing? Its ratios are listed in the same factory manual that describes the earlier 3 finger clutch so I figure it might use the old bell housing. On the other hand the manual manages to omit the part about the later steering gear box that would be found when the linkage is off the column.
