This year's event will be from Tuesday, April 29th through Sunday May 4th. Our headquarters will be at the lot just south of and adjacent to Slickrock Campground again. You do not have to stay at Slickrock Campground if you don't want to, it is just the epicenter of the event. The schedule will be the same as the last couple of years with the overnight runs:

Tuesday - Kokopelli Run Starts (3 Days 2 Nights - limit 14 rigs!)
Wednesday - San Rafael Swell Run Starts (2 days 1 night - limit 20 rigs), Registration, Safety Inspection, Fins & Things Night Run!!!
Thursday - Guided Trail Runs, Vendor Night
Friday - Guided Trail Runs, Dinner, Raffle
Saturday - Guided Trail Runs
Sunday - Clean up and go home

We expect registration to open around the middle of January. Basically whenever we get all the updates done on the cruisemoab.com web site.

We are keeping registration the same as it has been for the past two years: $175 + BLM fees, which are a straight pass-through. We are also passing through the $25/head food costs for the overnight runs. Remember, Rising Sun doesn't make a dime on Cruise Moab. We donate 100% of the proceeds to land use and to improving the event.

Be advised that you must be a current TLCA member to register. We could not have this event without our affordable TLCA insurance, it is a TLCA sanctioned event and therefor you must be a TLCA member. It's only $30 if you sign up before the dues increase.

Dave Kaiser is the committee chair this year. I am doing trail assignments and registration again this year. If you have any questions, please contact Dave or me at the emails above. Please do not PM me here with questions about Cruise Moab. Feel free to join the Rising Sun forum on the Cruise Moab thread.

Here are some changes from prior years:
(1) We have added a new trail, Flat Iron Mesa
(2) We have added a NIGHT RUN!!! Fins & Things Wednesday night.
(3) We are having vendors sponsor trails. If you want to run with a particular vendor, then pick which trail they are going to lead on which day. Here is who we have so far:

Red Line Land Cruisers (Justin Robbins) - Pritchett Canyon (Thursday)
Cruiser Outfitters (Kurt Williams) - San Rafael Swell (Wednesday)
American Toyota (C-Dan) - Fins & Things (Friday)
Gamiviti (Tim Nakari) - Wipe Out Hill (Friday)
IH8MUD - (Brian "Woody" Swearingen) - Poison Spider Mesa (Friday)
Book Cliff Land Cruisers (Jon Harris) - Kokopelli Trail (Tuesday)
Colorado Toyota Specialists (Joe Calleja) - Behind the Rocks (Friday)
Slee Off Road (Christo Slee) - Hell's Revenge Thursday
Just Differentials (Carl Montoya) - Porcupine Rim - (Friday)
Gobi Racks (Daniel Markofski) - Kane Creek Canyon - (Friday)

I will update the above as the information becomes available.

If you would like to attend, now is a good time to put in for time off from work, if you need a lot of advance notice.

Happy crusin'!

Great News! The web guys have made most of the updates to the cruisemoab.com web site and we should be able to start testing it over the coming days. As soon as we're reasonably sure everything's working right, we'll go live with the actual registration code, and I will announce it here.

Superb work from you guys as always Jeff! Hope to see you there again this year. Checking the site daily now. :steer::cheers:

We are testing the code right now. Probably be a week or so to get all the bugs corrected and everything retested. Today was the first testing. In our fictitious registrations, Woody's trail is already filled up and he has a 10 person wait list. I may have to take him up on his offer to lead a second trail

Registration NOT Open until Announced

Informational:

Registration is NOT open to the general public until it is announced publicly. We are still testing and we had two guys who tried to register yesterday. The site actually took their money. We will refund it of course, but they either used the same URL we have used every year or done some kind of search to find it. Bottom line is, it isn't open to public registration until officially announced here, on Rising Sun etc. Anyone who butts in front of the line will be kicked to the back.

Before someone asks, I will answer: We do allow trail leaders and gunners early access to registration, typically for a couple days before we announce registration is open to the public. This is so that Joe Cruiserhead that thinks he is going to get onto a trail that said it still had one spot left doesn't get bumped because the trail leader wasn't in the database first.

We don't expect this to be a widespread problem but we try to anticipate and prevent problems before they arise. We aim to make it a great experience, from registration, to trail runs, socializing, the dinner and raffle, and make great memories you take home with you and remember for years to come.

Can't wait to do my first Cruise Moab. After hitting Moab, this past October and exploring around, I can't wait to wheel it with those that know the trails.

Anyone from SoCal want to caravan to CM 2014?

We are coming from Vegas on the 30th or 29th not to sure yet.

The Caravan will be rolling through southern Nevada as well as southern Utah. I'm thinking about leaving Tuesday early.

Looks like early next week to open registration, some time Monday 1/27/14 most likely.

Sweet, I booked my spot at the slick rock campground already.
That n ordered a prebuilt front 3rd with 4.88's and an ARB. Ordering the rear next month. Woo.

Cool! I am in 163 this year. Every year Rising Sun's Daniel Markofsky does a thread on the Rising Sun board about where everyone is staying at Slickrock with a map at the beginning of the thread, which he updates as people add to the thread with their spot. Keep an eye on the Rising Sun Cruise Moab board for his thread once he posts it up.

Here is a link to least year's thread to get an idea of what it looks like.

Happy cruisin'!

Nice thanks. I will check it out and post up. I am in 135 in the corner. I'll have to use the Map and track you down to say hi!
