Thanks to a big help from @wngrog and @under_psi, my weekend project got done over 4 hours and some friday afternoon beers.

They tell me the rack amd awning are #eaf and, if you look closely, they even gave me a sticker to prove it:

There are a couple of goofy bolts on the awning attachment i still need to deal with, but for the most part it was trouble free install (thanks to nolen's a/c and tools and 2 extra sets of hands).

Not a lot of wind noise or rattles on the way home. I am pleased.
