BODY MOUNT HELP (1 Viewer)

I am installing new body mounts on my 1978 FJ40. I can't get the two that go on the firewall to go in. Any suggestions??
I only like about an inch having the all the way in, but I can't get them any further. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

have you tightened the rest of the bolts yet? If so loosen them and carefully lift the body enough to slide them in. hope that helps. I just finished putting on an alluminum tub with a 2" body lift and found some irregularities while installing the rubber mounts. I think perhaps these frames shift or flex over time.
