I have stock lift and 32' MTR's with a 4speed in a '73. I havn't been past 70 MPH but I get the smoothest ride at about 65 which is pretty good for my truck.

it will be better in a 4 speed, the 60 can handle 70-75 pretty well,
my 71 3speed feels like its pushing it over 65 (it has a 2F)

i know my 4spd withh 4.11 diffs pulls around 154Km/hr on the speedo (redlining) with it's 2f

ummm, a 3 or 4 speed really makes no difference in speed in top gear.....they are both 1-1. But your 71 has 4.10 gears, your fj60 has 3.70's(assuming they are stock) thats why the 60 feels better at higherspeeds. Tire size also of curse effects the gearing and speed

F-3spd-4.11's-31's.
60-65 is comfortable, will hit 70 to pass someone, have hit 80, but only once and will never do it again.
After the 33's it will be interesting to see if/how much of a difference there is.

I can hit 80 pretty comfortably with my F. Maxed out at 74 pulling my 2145 lb travel trailer with it (speed check by GPS and radar). :flipoff2:
