Anyone around Norcal/Oregon/Washington up for helping me fix the common hesitation/stumbling prob? (1 Viewer)

Im currently on a road trip from SoCal to BC, I have the common intermittent hesitation/stumbling problem. Wasn't there when I left but after San Louis Obispo it's in full effect and its driving me nuts. I am currently at a buddies in Arcata, CA but plan on resuming the drive north some time tomorrow. Any and all help appreciated thanks guys

Could be dirt in the float bowl intermittently plugging the main jet

could be other things too.

The surging/bucking can be any number of things but a lot of people have tied it to the EGR system. Using a golf tee, BB, or similar to plug your EGR valve to EGR vacuum modulator lines has solved the problem for some people, though it's really more of a quick and easy road fix than a permanent solution. Take a look at the pics in posts #34 and 35 in this link, and you'll see what I'm referring to:
