Anybody ever take apart an edelbrock 1405 performer carb? (2 Viewers)

So somewhere inside my carb things have gotten kinda gummed up. I will be pulling it tonight to let it sit in carb cleaner but I may have to pull the top off it. Has anyone ever done this? I'm just worried about a spring & ball bearing popping out on me.

I have looked at the exploded view & it seems like an easy task, but things rarely are.

I did on mine the other day. Its really not all that bad. I would definitely take some care when removing covers though, there is a couple things that kinda pop/fall out.

edlebrock/carters are a breeze....done them many times, just watch all the parts as they come out.

while yer in there, drop in a spring-loaded needle seat...and read my writeup on tuning them too
