I'm working on a 1965 Jacuzzi Bros. air compressor. It's a 230V, v-twin, 60 gal unit, typical of a 1960's service station. It's been running fine in my shop for years but recently it developed a habit of spitting out the oil fill plug when running.

I assumed that the rings were out of it, so tore it down. Unfortunately, there is nothing obviously wrong w/ it. Now I just want to put it back together w/ new rings, gaskets and reed valves. The problem is no local shop knows anything about Jacuzzi pumps & compressors. I can't seem to turn up any useful info on the web (the word "jacuzzi" brings up a million hits for bathtubs).

Does anybody know of a decent place to source parts for air compressors?:confused:

Failing that, does anybody have a decent compressor pump for sale cheap?

Thanks for any help!:beer:

Eaton (http://www.eatoncompressor.com) sells very nice pumps for a excellent price. You might want to give them a call & see if they can help you with a set of rings.

Wthout the original specs on the cyl bore dimension as well as ring dimensions there is probably not much you can do with your pump.

Whats the displacement of your compressor & is it 2 stage?

You can also try these guys, they sell alot of parts for compressors;

no problem... they have some VERY nice pumps with great prices, your really in luck as shipping is not cheap on a 250lb pump. I'm in the process of building a 10hp 2-stage Schulz compressor but I really wish I had an Eaton pump :crybaby: I picked up the whole compressor minus the motor for $60 on EBAY :D 10hp single phase motor cost me $465
