I'm working on a 1965 Jacuzzi Bros. air compressor. It's a 230V, v-twin, 60 gal unit, typical of a 1960's service station. It's been running fine in my shop for years but recently it developed a habit of spitting out the oil fill plug when running.
I assumed that the rings were out of it, so tore it down. Unfortunately, there is nothing obviously wrong w/ it. Now I just want to put it back together w/ new rings, gaskets and reed valves. The problem is no local shop knows anything about Jacuzzi pumps & compressors. I can't seem to turn up any useful info on the web (the word "jacuzzi" brings up a million hits for bathtubs).
Does anybody know of a decent place to source parts for air compressors?
Failing that, does anybody have a decent compressor pump for sale cheap?
Thanks for any help!
