1991 FJ80 3FE....voltage regulator...where is it.... 8^p (1 Viewer)

I'm away from home and my repair guides at the moment and online searches have failed me.

Can anyone direct me to the location of the voltage regulator please? pic of the parts sure looks like it should be on or around the alternator itself....but without taking the alternator off I cannot see it on there if it is....

Alt is internally regulated

You can replace it, you just have to split the alternator housing. It's really not that bad, but not something I would want to do on the side of the road.
