    Hey

1958 Chevy Apache Stepside pickup. Bought this in Colorado recently. Currently located (and garaged) in Millis, MA. Bought from the son of the second owner. It was the fathers daily driver for 20 years and had been in the same family since new.

Straight 6 (essentially the Chevy version of a Toyota F motor) 3 speed on the floor. Has some leaks. Oil pan is dented so needs to be replaced at some point.

Underside is damn near perfect. Frame rails, body mount points, spring hangers etc are all excellent with no rust. Amazing condition underneath.

Steering wheel and column is not original but I do have the original one to go with the truck.

Truck was originally green. Painted red about 20 years ago so nice patina look to it.

Floors are good with one spot the size of a half dollar of rust thru.

Needs rust work on the step part of the rocker panels ($60 each online) and the metal near the lower door hinges. Front quarters have bondo on them.

Needs lower door hinges, panel alignment, possible hood hinges (might just need adjusting)

Seat is in good shape but has a hole in it.

I have new muffler in a box (has a cherry bomb on it now) a new carb, carpet kit, side window, and a few other odds n ends that need to be put on.

$7500. Not desperate to sell. Please PM me with genuine interest. Possible open to trades but very doubtful.

    More pics to come!

    Thanks!

    John

pulled the seat to POR-15 the floor and never got a pic of it bolted in. it's a bench seat. could use a new cover as it's blue velour. Will be bolted back in when I get 5 minutes

redid the valve cover gasket so shot it with spraypaint to look purdy.

Also did new fuel filter, drained gas tank and flushed, new spark plugs, etc

I have ridden about 10,000 miles setting on the rear tire hump in a truck just like that ( before it was considered dangerous by the government). Enjoyed every minute of it.:)
    Good luck.......1978HJ45

In 1958 they used an amazing material called "steel". Not to be confused with the plastic and tin foil they use today.:)

It is a sweet little truck. Just threw on LED original style tail lights. Installed carpet, POR 15'ed the inside floors, etc. Wish I had more time to tinker
