A quick question. I bought a 2008 Tacoma (double-cab, long bed, TRD, Sports pkg), all stock, no mods, and my engine-check light has lit up again. Since there hasn't been any strange noises (and since it is time) I'm sure it's telling me to get an oil change. The first oil change I opted for the 20W-50 rather than their usual, the same I used in my parents' '89 Toyota pickup. Are there any suggestions for a different type of oil?
Also, is there any indication of what's wrong when the Check Engine light goes on? I prefer the way it was with the old truck, where if something was wrong, it was obvious in the performance or the sound the engine made.
