no not it. Mine has the remote. I searched the warn site and did not find anything about an 8631. The winch looks like to one on the pirate list I referenced above that the guy rebuilt. It is on a 1975 fj40 and I think that you could get a warn winch as a dealer option in 1975.

sorry about that. 8631 is the part number. the winch is the older style 8274. thanks for the input. bty the pirate link in my above post is excellent if you are rebuilding one of these

What does FI have to do with a winch?
Apparently that is not the style winch he has....
That's what I have. Anybody know how to get a service/parts manual for it?
