    Yet another dash knob question

Hi...I searched this thread with no luck: Dash Configuration Reference There's even a '66 dash in there but I don't see the knob that I have in these pictures that I pulled off of my '66 FJ40 dash back in 2004. I don't see it on SOR either. Anyone know what it is? Thanks in advance.

    Dash indicator lamps?

Hi, I took apart my 1966 FJ40 over a decade ago, and really wish I had taken some pictures. I'm trying to identify parts. See the pics...I have two indicator light housings (red) that I assume are for the turn signals since there's two of them, although red seems a strange color for turn...

Can anyone tell me what this dash part is?

Now that I recall, someone had done a really crappy job of installing some halogen fog lights on the front bumper...I think this switch turned them on.

Can anyone tell me what this dash part is?

Excellent, thank you. Not sure how you found that, but I did a number of Google searches without luck. Guess I will toss it. Thanks again.

Can anyone tell me what this dash part is?

Hi, I pulled this item off of the dash of my 1966 FJ40 over a decade ago...and now I have no idea what it is. I don't remember what part of the dash it was located on, either. The part that looks like a push button does not actually push in, unless it's really stuck. I'm also not sure if its...

Ummm...no, and that kinda scares me. It was about 12 years ago though.

    1999 UZJ100 Intermittently Drops Dead

Two and a half years later, and this has never happened again after replacing the fusebox. The 100 has been running like clockwork, 228k miles and counting. We did have a front end collision at one point, and I'm fairly sure it cracked the fusebox.

    Help with identifying brackets

Hello, I pulled these two small brackets off of my 1966 FJ40 some time ago, but now have no idea where they came from or what they were for. I've searched on Google Images with no luck. Anyone have any ideas? For scale, in the first picture the longer side of the small bracket that is in...

    '66 fj40 Frame Off Buildup - TJ's Cruiser

Progress since last update (not as much as I had hoped, but here it is). I fabbed up some diff armor for the front axle and welded it in (and painted it): I also took away the old front axle shock mounts and put in double shear ones instead: On the rear axle housing, I rearranged the...

    1999 UZJ100 Intermittently Drops Dead

2,000 miles later, and no problems. Seems the new fusebox solved the issue.

Anyone know why the Nitro Xtreme rear diff cover won't work for a full floating axle?

Ah ok, thanks. My confusion is because I inherited some custom axles. The rear axle does have a removable rear cover, but it is a full floater (axle shafts are splined at both ends and it has Warn hubs). So I guess the Nitro cover will work for this setup.

Anyone know why the Nitro Xtreme rear diff cover won't work for a full floating axle?

I see that following says it is for semi-float only: Nitro Xtreme Diff Covers for Semi Float Landcruiser! I'm curious if anyone knows why? Also, do these other covers have the same limitation?: BTF Toyota FJ40/LandCruiser Rear Kryptonite Differential Cover BTF1109 – Blue Torch Fabworks, Inc...

    1999 UZJ100 Intermittently Drops Dead

Update on this issue: replacing the EFI fuse kept this problem from happening for four years. Then last year it began to crop up again. Each time I would replace the EFI fuse, and the problem would stop. However, it began to happen with increasing frequency. Last week I was having trouble...

What are these things welded on the front axle housing for?

Thanks! My cruiser has been apart for over a decade so I forget these things. Does anyone have a picture of them in action (i.e. limiting the knuckles) so I can see clearances?

What are these things welded on the front axle housing for?

Anyone know what purpose these hoops that are welded on the front axle housing serve? I've always wondered but now I want to weld something partially across the front facing one on each side (I'm going to put the shock mounts in double shear and don't want to move the existing mount). Anyone see...

    Front Differential Armor

Hello. I fabbed this up for my rig. Thought I'd share with the group. I'm going to add a few pieces on the bottom for mini skid plates.
