    I still have the original set of ome chrome rims that came on it..,THOSE were hideous. They came off long ago... Had been running some grey slotted steel rims w teq center caps and decided on a change. I can run these new ones with or without the caps. Both ways look better than the other two...

    I know that. I have a set. I also have after market wheels on it now. But the wheels with center caps from 40s and 55s apparently fit the fj60 up to 84. What is the difference after 84. I like the look of the 40 and 55 wheel with the center caps and want to put skinnies on my 60.

    Will the early oem rims from the early fj60s (the ones with the center caps from the late fj40s up to the 84 model 60) fit the 85-87 fj60. Is there a backspace issue?

    This is interesting. I wish it were more like 15 -20%. That will drop the Rpms from 2600 at 75 to 2200 to 2100 range where I think would do some good.

    FJ62 Shifter getting hot (140°F)

    That was my issue w 80. Basically it is all in the same place as a 62. I had my bro in-law fab up some new heat shields and made a huge difference in the heat getting to the truck. Treat the problem, not the symptom. Just the way I roll.
