Hi all, I just bought a small river property and need side-by-side instead of a LC, so gonna put the old girl up for sale. She's almost 30 years old now, so by no means perfect, but she runs good and is a lot of fun to drive. Would be a good launching point for someone to take it to the next...
What a great time at the Barn. Jimmy and Michelle were great hosts and all the guys were a blast to meet and a wealth of knowledge! Thanks again for the invite and a pleasure to meet everyone.
Hope you get that 2F freed up!
@dogfishlake have a safe trip home and enjoy your new ride!!
Great! I look forward to having a dog and meeting everyone. I'll bring a few beers to share.
@davegonz , sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he is recovering well and is comfortable.
I was PMing with Jimmy earlier today and he indicated that folks would be at his place on Saturday, so I'm guessing that its still on?
This will be my first time out there, so I'm looking forward to meeting some folks and getting some ideas!
Ha!! Perfect timing. I just got a new shell from Cruiseryard as mine was rattling around and pissing me off. Now I find out that NLXTACY might have an new project. BTW, I think ‘91-94 are the same for what its worth.
Timing has never been my strong suit
Oh well, hopefully the new one will...
The belts are pretty easy and they’re not that expensive for OEM Toyota belts. If your truck still has the original decals under the hood, then there should be a diagram of the belt position as well as a vacuum line diagram. It’s on a sticker on the underside of the hood above the driver-side...
Mine is a US “poverty pack” I guess. No sunroof, manual seats, no running boards, but I have power windows/locks.
Basically, I’m just wondering if they use 1 wire harness for every truck and perhaps the sunroof/map light wiring is just bundled up behind the headliner? Just wishful thiking?
Agreed. Mine was clearly not closing all the way with the dash-pot stuck in the open position. Much better now, but I think I can improve it a littte more by recalibration get the TPS.
I’d like to see if there is power already run behind the headliner above the rear-view mirror. My ‘91 doesn’t have a sunroof or map lights and I’d like to explore adding some light in that area, but not sure if there is already a wiring harness there or not.
Any info or pics is appreciated!
I know! I would not have considered it, but sure enough...it was stuck in the open position. It would only compress about 1/8” until I hit it with the PB Blaster and now it travels 1/2”+. I’ll have to recalibrate the TPS now that there is proper “rebound” with the throttle. I honestly think...
I replaced all 3 on my 3FE and didn’t have to remove the AC compressor, BUT...it was a PITA to get #14 in there and into position. I had the radiator out when I did mine, so it was probably easier for me to access. I would definitely clean the coupling pipe (#15) if you can. Mine was all...
