How hard is it to import one of these suckers BJ70 into USA

I hate to say it but it's almost impossible. Perhaps if you can find an angle, loophole or an inside importer you may be able to do it. I wish you could and I wish you luck.

I think we may be on the same wavelength. He may be promising more than he can deliver.

Here's an interesting comment from a MUD poster selling a jdm truck: "we will offer a 6 Month guarentee on the head, we can get Genuine replacement heads for $850 exchange with all gasket ready to go. These are an udpated head, that fix's the problem, we have been fitting these for the last 7...

Good point. This thread is a good chance to responsibly revisit the warranty issue from dealers. Can we have some input from previous posters on this specific breakdown without getting mean and nasty?

Another LJ78 head bites the dust...

Thanks Wayne. You may be right about the combination. What seems strange to me is that heavy trucks haul big loads (sometimes over 63,000 kg, 140,000 lbs for the yanks) up all the mountain roads listed here. Basically, you get in the gear that will pull the load and keep your foot to the...

Another LJ78 head bites the dust...

There's been lots of discussion about this problem. Has it been decided if it's a design flaw, cooling system failure, or driver neglect?

Congratulations to the dealer who stands behind his product. Let us know the name so Cruiser buyers know who to trust.

    Help

No one has suggested he doesn't have the money to fix it. It's being repaired and he is paying for the repairs. However, like most of us I would suggest, getting a $3,000.00 to $4,000.00 hit immediately after buying an expensive used vehicle is somewhat painful on the buget. To use your...

That's a good point. We all need to be careful when communicating with women. They are quite delicate, especially when emotional. Don't upset them. You don't know how unpredictable a woman can be.

This topic has obviously touched a nerve with MUD members. Buying a Cruiser is as much an emotional issue as a financial one. For the experience to immediately go wrong is devastating emotionally and financially. The positive side of this experience is that we can all learn something from...

"I created a website to put information about my truck on... but I'm a 'curber' not a company ." This, Adam, was a statement made by you. If you are a "curber' does this put the sale in a different light? If you can't back your sales you may want to let the guys like Wayne do the business...

    Help

Thanks Robin. All I can ask of you or other Cruiser enthusiasts is "what would you do if you bought a vehicle that didn't even make it 300 miles"? Think about it as if the shoe was on your foot. You would not be happy, especially if you asked about over-heating issues when you bought it...

As far as Hinton? Are you kidding Me? That is less than 300 miles. How would you feel if you bought a vehicle for a reasonable price and it only made it 300 miles? Would you think the seller should help you out? I certainly hope so and I'm sure Adam feels the same. Caveat Emptor usually...

So, let me get this straight, you are saying you sold the Cruiser and it breaks down in less than 300 miles you are not willing to help the buyer in any way? Think about this and reconsider. Where is your integrity?

If you're headed east and can make it to Saskatoon you might want to try Ens Industrial (part of Ens Toyota) for help. They are probably one of very few Toyota dealerships in North America that has expertise with imported Japanese diesels.

I PM'd the seller from Prince George. Canadam (Adam) is a respected Cruiserhead so I'm sure he's going to help out with this breakdown.

Yes. Smart cars need to be squashed. Now. EDIT: Although I would like to have one.
