I was wondering if anyone had considered the idea of swapping in the Orion t-cae with 4:1 low range on thier BJ. I've been considering this for some time now but have been hesitant due to the fact that there is no listing on Advance adapters site for a companion to my 5 speed tranny. Is there...
Before you start turning up the fuel to your precious little 3B let me ask you a Question. Have you a pyrometer and boost guage installed and operating? If not I am very hesitant to tell you where you should begin adjusting the output volume of your fuel pump as over fueling could cause some...
My mistake it looks like your reference to the 33' was just under your research. I had to change my rims when I had installed the 31's but it was only so I could run 10.5'' wide tires. The factory rims were only 6" wide so I upped to 8" wide to run the 31"x10.5" rubber. But I don't think that I...
I ran 31"x10.5 on my bagged out original suspension and never rubbed a tire front or back even in the worst situations. Just insure that your rim has the proper back spacing to keep the wheels tucked inside the rear fenders when the suspension is fully compressed and adjust your steering stops...
well I for one would sooner lift the body on the left side of my cruiser to compensate than lower the suspension on the right side.Maybe it'll help the 35's fit a little nicer when I try to tuck them under my 2.5 " OME lift.
I ran 31x10.5 on my cruiser with stock suspension and they fit just nice. If you're going to keep 15's you should be able to order your tires in imperial rather than metric. Now I have a 2.5 inch OME dakar lift and was wondering if I would have to raise my front fenders in order to run 35's or...
I did a turbo on my 3B and never changed the factory set up for the diaghram on the governor. It works vey vey fine with the original set up. Basically I think that the 2 hoses are just to set up a pressure equalization on either side of the diaghram but I'm not sure.
Well in my opinion boosting on the upper battery would not be a good idea unless you were to take it out of the series first because hooking to the negetive post without disconnecting it from the other battery is just the same as going negative to posotive on the first battery in the series and...
Hey peter what kind of setup do you run and how much boost are you pushing? What kind of EGT's are you running @ and how many ponys are you generating?
do yourself a favor and boost on the baterie that is gounded to the frame that way your tied into the 12V part of the system then you can hook posotive to posotive and negative to negative and you won't blow up your donor battery. The same rule applies If you were to boost a 12V from your rig as...
you Guys are always carrying on about how much boost is safe and what air pressure can do but which one of you has ever popped your cylinder head and could contribute it to overboosting. I don't think there's one!! It sounds like alot of urban folklore I knew a guy who knew a guy who... I would...
You'll get your speed once you take the overall tire diameter into consideration in the final output ratio of your driveline, but will you have the power to get the tach up. Start saving for the AXT now and you won't regret it.
Well I don't really know what to tell you about any thing that new but I am running an AXT setup on my 3B and all I can say is WOW! I hear alot of good things about the turboglide setups but here in Canada we don't get our hands on anything toyota that sports a diesel that new. Diesel toys went...
