    Confirming Camshaft Specifications

In double checking with the machine shop, I'm seeing more familiar numbers: The stock cam measures 240 adv. Duration, .247” cam lift, .371” gross valve lift, on a 109 centerline. Your cam has 250 adv. Duration, .262” intake cam lift, .263” exhaust cam lift, .393” and .395” gross valve lift, on...

    Confirming Camshaft Specifications

I didn't see that! Thanks for pointing it out... 2F stock 250 duration Int 17-53 ex 55-15 lift ? 0.377 My values don't look right at all. Perhaps I should double check that the numbers he gave me are correct.

    Confirming Camshaft Specifications

I agree. I know the performance cams sound more like 262 or 270 duration. My question I guess is am I even close to stock? Don't see stock camshaft specs in that thread.

    Confirming Camshaft Specifications

It's been a while. I recently had significant machine work done to my 2F. It's now all rebuilt. Previous owner said 11 years ago that it "may" have an aftermarket camshaft installed. I asked the machine shop to give me the specs on the camshaft when they had it out and reground it. This is...

Builds Previously known as the 'One Week Resto' now Pathetically keeping it alive... 500k

By the way, you got a photo of that Singer? Here's the Pfaff I've been playing around with. Handles heavy duck canvas very well, although it's not like you can just throw it in the closet when you're done using it.

Johnny, what a slick looking cruiser this is. Excellent work on the body, considering how much use you gained on that body with the rust, imagine how long it's going to last now. Really liked the olive drab canvas on white. Sweet tool roll too!

What kind of storage do you have in your fj40?

i've been toying around with the idea of building my own storage system involving the common bottom drawer that seems to be popular and functional, as well as having a deep full width tool box accessible when the seats fold forward. and on top of the fenderwells encased by the oem roll bar, i'd...

aisan carb rebuild... i think i'm almost there...

after running her gently around town, letting things heat up and cool down, everything needed to be tightened down again, minimized the vacuum leakage and got her tuned properly. i don't think i've ever heard her sound so healthy. still getting my hesitation problems at higher speeds, so i...

    oem soft top canvas weight

i think the life of canvas depends on a lot. but if that mil-spec canvas was in decent condition, was $50 and at least 36" wide, you could get started on your own for sure.

    oem soft top canvas weight

if it's treated, a heavy duck canvas and large enough, why not?! might want to consider it's age, price and compare it to what you could purchase brand new (without any existing stitching or grommets)
