    Builds My LC 80 thread.

Hi Dave. Long time. Hows tricks? My 80 is taking a break from duty currently as while I was doing her 250k mile service I noticed a slowish drip from the fuel pump. Were at 253k now but ITV has run out and shes not going to pass with dripping fuel. The leak appears to be coming from between...

    BJ45 transfer / transmission

Hi all. Wondering if anyone can help, got the boxes out on a BJ45 but cant separate them. Have looked at all the threads in here amd countless YT vids and cant see the answer, it seems there should be 5 bolts holding them together but I can only see 4, as per pic?

    Builds My LC 80 thread.

Hi Dave. Hope all well amigo. So she passed ITV again yesterday, but I have no idea about whether my eco mode would have made any difference to the emissions test, as the exact same guy who failed it last year, and made me change all 4 285/75/16 s just didn't even do the emissions test this...

Installed - OME Stock Height Springs - (no forward rake?)

this morning on more level ground. +30mm spacers rear, + 20mm front, +200kg permanent load just put spacers on to get the stance you want, Im sure you'll love the new ride and feel. I still have the original Toko shocks on it too currently, I have a set of long-travel Pedders foam cells to go...

Remove rear spare or leave it?

yup did this too back in the day. still put it on the roof for knarly stuff but its high enough not to offend vision or catch much dirt any more on general duties I used a rod of stud with nuts on it both for the spacing and fixing both sides of the plates. then heavily greased them, and...

Installed - OME Stock Height Springs - (no forward rake?)

I installed the same thing, but with 30mm spacers at front, and 15mm at the back, aiming at a level stance, as the OMEs are 15mm higher at the back than the front, and it worked fine.. except.. that the fronts are heavy (and I didnt get round to affording front winch and bumper yet) while the...

    Builds My LC 80 thread.

Hi Dave. Hope all is well over there. I'm thinking seriously about starting to run an SVO / diesel mix on her. Just 10-20% SVO to start, mixed straight into the tank. apart from the cost saving they also run a little cleaner I gather, producing less of all the N-type gases the emissions people...

AltFuel  1HD-T with Diesel SVO mix?

Could I... just add (say) 35% SVO to 65% diesel, straight into the main tank on my 1HDT, and let it mix up in there? ie rather than separate tanks etc? I live in a (relatively) warm climate, winter doesn't usually get much below 5C very often, mostly more like 10-12C, I've seen zero C about...

    3 Iinch lift questions..

would there be much real difference between where this setup, vs a good 2" lift with 285/75/16s could go?

Did I make a bad decision on my purchase? Not even sure I should post this here?

as someone else said above, these CDL and F/R diff actuators and switches tend to stop working when theyre not used, but are highly likely to come back to life on their own, when activated enough. when I got mine all 3 were stuck, the lights would just flash, and until the CDL comes on, neither...
