Make me an offer, I will be at Southern Cruiser Crawl this weekend. I will not ship them, local pick up only at Crawl. Outside of Crawl, east coast drop off/pick up...
Anyone want to split a KOA site for the week? One rig, maybe an offroad trailer with rooftop tent and probably 1 or 2 others that are also not rowdy depending in their schedules.
Im a quiet fella anymore. Although @HemiAlex and @The Machinist would probably disagree
I wheel hard and love the Duratracs. They do have a weak sidewall and I have killed 3 sidewall punctures. With that said I have the 4wheelparts extreme warranty so it costs me $40 bucks to replace if tread life is over 50%. I run them on my fzj80 in a 35 inch/315 10 ply tire.
One puncture was a...
Always use a left hand drill bit when drilling for extractors. You can get lucky when drilling for an extractor and sometimes the bolt will free itsself and spin out with the left hand thread
Just to verify is your steering linkages out of the truck like my below photo? (Your linkages will look slightly different because I have a Chevy 1-ton TRE sets in my 60 and 80)
You need a big ass pipe wrench and a box wrench to turn the rods if you already having the rod and TREs out of the...
I have OME with reservoirs and Fox 2.0s on a SOA 60 and a lifted 80, respectively.
I really like my 2.0s and they see really hard wheeling. You can also ship off the 2.0s to be rebuilt. I have heard that the 2.0s are more prone to failure though. My 80 has been run really hard on 2.0s and it...
More heat and let them soak with PB blaster or another penetrating oil over night. Get it cooking with a propane or mapp torch. You really have to cook them when they are seized hard and make sure you heat the arm to expand that instead of the TRE itsself.
Get a 4lb sledge and smack the s***...
Got a no start issue on my 94 FZJ80 OBD1 when its raining or the day after it rains. I do have a leaking windshield and sunroof. The truck cranks fine and will occasionally try to catch but not fire. Once I crank it for awhile it used to catch and run and stay running when warm.
These are the...
Everytime I have pulled a rear 60 diff or replaced a rear semi float 60 shaft I have had to tap it into place with a lead shot filled mallet to get it to seat fully in the splines and slide into the outer bearing and seal.
Sorry woody, meant the original post, his tire apparently has a smaller diameter than his rim size for the beadlocks and the front bead won't fit but the back bead seals fine
I have a motorcycle stand from harbor freight for my dirk bike which works even better than a 5 gallon bucket for this. It snugly holds a 15 without moving and would probably for for larger tires too.
As for the OP, when I was mounting my toyos, I had to suck down the outer bead one side at a...
Fixed the wiring to my digital volt meter. I also got the MileMarker winch wireless remote control box hooked up. Now I just need to grt it more permanently attached to the console.
Tightened up the lower control arms as well on my front axle. Hopefully that keeps the popping to a minimum on...
