If you post some pics it would be helpful, but I am guessing the 6 bolt hubs. I just finished my mini conversion on a 74 fj40 and that is what I remember.
I started this thread (https://forum.ih8mud.com/showthread.php?t=163996 ) in the chit chat section but would like to get some opinions on the technical side. I have a very rusty 1974 fj40 and I want to get some opinions on whether it is worth saving or if I should get rid of it (sell outright...
Ok, I have been in die hard lurk mode for many moons and now I need to get my languishing fj40 project out of the garage and moved to my new place so it can continue to rust in peace. Since the front axle is in the midst of a mini truck disk brake swap I need to get my stuff together and put...

One of the cylinders is locked up on the passenger side rear drum. I am working on a front disk brake conversion, can I use one of the working cylinders from the front to replace the frozen one in the rear? Before anyone says it, I am not planning to do a rear disk conversion right now, ran...
Looking for a decent, running 2F for my fj40. Would prefer something in SoCal, the Inland Empire area or San Diego would be best, but am willing to travel a bit to pick one up.
Maybe this is a stupid question, but why are you removing the liner? I assume rust underneath? Or too heavy? Or something else... I am wondering because I am considering putting a liner inside my cruiser and want to know what the potential problems are.
