I will go do that now.
While browsing threads i saw a reference to a bad pump relay killing the spark on an 80 series. This doesnt make sense to me but is that that case on a 60? I feel like i have seen people mention driving 62s with the jumper wire installed before replacing the relay...
So here is what im working with. The truck died on me one day, left it overnight, tried it the next day, started and drove home fine, now wont restart.
-Fuel pump does not run without jumping diagnostic box but seems to run fine jumpered. Cracked the cold start line and had solid fuel pressure...
The previous post is probably the right answer but if it broke clean you can get it welded back on, i bet you could even do that with a spool gun. Or you could glue it to hold it in place, drill a hole through it and either pin it or thread the hole and put a set screw in there.

I would think you could check the valve seats with some of that marking fluid or shoe polish or something, spin them on their seats and see if you have spots of unmarked dye on the machined edge. I really am surprised that a shop would do that poorly.
Sounds more like the cam is out of time, unless they just didnt do anything the chances of a freshly rebuilt head leaking down on every cylinder are pretty slim. I wonder if the timing chain is loose and the cam skipped a tooth and the valves are closing super late. Is is actually building...
I will try them out when i get a chance and post up for reference sake. I need some new pads and it was 8 buck closeout so its not a matter of long term greatness new pads and a tighter pedal are better than old squeaky pads any day.
I wasnt thinking last time i made a rockauto order and tossed some closeout pads in for my 62. The only issue is that i bought stock pads and i have 4runner brakes. I need a new set of pads and money is a little tight so my question is, will stock cruiser pads fit 4runner calipers? I know they...
I have rolled mine from the top body line down with black bedliner and i love it. I have beat the crap out of it and i havent flaked any off. Also, sticks dont make so much noise scraping down the side of the truck any more, big plus.
Well i finally got this licked. The idle air controller is shorted out so it was blowing the efi fuse and killing the whole motor. Once i finally started tracking the short from the supply side i found it but that was not fun. Just thought i would share in case anyone else ever has something...
I put in a new pump and the tank is super clean. Even with the entire rear wiring harness disconnected it still blows the fuse. I havent tried the jumper because with the efi fuse blown it wont run anyways. Its quite a nasty one.
