"Big three are sneaky? Is it fear of competition or is it inferiority syndrome...go figure!"
The big three can't sell their cars freely in China or Japan. Only certain Ford, Chrysler, and GM models can be sold in Japan and with higher regulations and taxes.
Go with the Line-X. My brother used to work for a shop spraying Line-X for 3 years and they have chemicals to remove it. I don't know if the local dealer would sell you some or make you take it in if you want it removed.
Randy it's about time you decided to do something with that engine and tranny! I's going to be nice. Now you just need to put a diesel in your 80 then it will be cool. :D
Another note on Ether don't use it on a diesel with an intake grid heater unless you don't mind the smell of your burnt hair or exploding intake parts. For example the 13B-T, 12H-T, and 1HD-T have intake grid heaters.
The difference between a 70 and a 40 when it comes to wheeling is to expect a lot of body damage with the 70 in my experience. Going through tight spot my 44 might not even scrape but it usually caves in the door or beats up the rear panels on a 70.
Hands down the 70 is more comfortable but...
If you have too much dive, roll, and squat...My fix for you is the same thing I teach the Army here in MRAP drivers training "slow down because you going too fast for conditions/design of the truck" These trucks are extremely top heavy and have stiff SOA suspensions but experienced drivers that...
If it's your trail truck I wouldn't be too concerned about it unless it gets worse and/or you see a noticeable drop in oil level. My truck sat around for about 10 years and got started once in awhile but as soon as I started driving it regularly it started blowing smoke like a freight train out...
A properly set-up (good geometry) SOA has decent road manners. If you have bumpsteer yours it not set-up right. My 44 doesn't exhibit any bumpsteer on the road. Like Clint79 said what about the Hiluxs they have SOA from the factory and no bumpsteer?
It doesn't take very much oil (a few drops) to cause smoke and the only thing that causes blue smoke is oil. It's just a sign of age and wear (22years). There are valve spring compressors that you can change valve seals without pulling the head. On my Ford V-8 it took me an 1.5 hours the change...
Light blue smoke is oil being burnt. If it only happens on deceleration then it probably is a bad valve seal or worn valve guide. When you let off the throttle especially on a big down hill it creates a lot of vacuum and if the valve guides or seal are bad oil can be sucked past and into the...
