Sway bar bolt recommendations- aftermarket or OEM for stock suspension

Found a broken bolt on my sway bar link while checking on my brakes. With the internet and so many choices I need your opinion. Should I buy OEM or buy a better aftermarket product? Any links to products or other forum links which I might have missed? Thanks for your input!

New 100 series owner. What is this part called and how do I fix the leak

I believe you have to reset it. If you don't have a OBD II code reader now is the best time to buy one to reset it. Will work for most cars after 1995. Another option is disconnect the battery.

New 100 series owner. What is this part called and how do I fix the leak

I had something like that happen to my 04LC and changed all four sensors. No luck. I started pouring fuel injector cleaner into gas tank before a long road trip (twice) and CEL light went away . The mileage was about 90k and 4 years ago. This summer I got CEL again and put in some fuel injector...

Advice on repair or replacement of MDF (multi functional display) on 04 LC. Tesla style screen suggestions?

Thanks for the input, I notice you have a link to "post nav delete harness" , will look into that. I currently have MFD working after starting on the third try. Don't know if I just needed to wait a little longer after starting for ECU to boot and communicate with MFD or all the fiddling around...

DIY: 2004 Multi Function Display (MFD) PIN 60 Repair

Did the 60 pin re-solder by re-heating old solder. Just wanted to share my experience to add to the wealth of knowledge. Did it twice, once quickly about a half second and re-installed with no luck after briefly starting the car. Removed and reheated old solder a little longer (under 2...

Advice on repair or replacement of MDF (multi functional display) on 04 LC. Tesla style screen suggestions?

MDF on 2004 LC works intermittently (mostly off). Tried to do the Pin 60 re-solder twice and did not work. So the big question is whether to replace the board or upgrade to a more modern system. Been looking into new boards from vendors but most are in Ali express (which would be a new...

plumbing suggestions for repairing a cracked cast iron pipe

I ended up replacing the section of pipe. If yours is on a vertical section of pipe you might be able to build a funnel of duct tape and melt lead solder so it would go into the crack. It would be less evasive than replacement and a cheap and quick possible solution. Sorry I didn't have a chance...

    Furnace- pressure switch question

Hopefully I can find some HVAC pros around here. I want to order a pressure switch for my furnace and wonder if I have to order the exact match to my current pressure switch. The variety and mounting brackets of all the different models got me confused. Does it matter which hoses goes into each...

    P0420 and P0430 - 2006 LC

Update on my codes. About two month ago I went Chicago to Toronto Round trip and had CEL go off only once at low speeds. About a month ago I went Chicago to NYC round trip and used 2 bottles of fuel injector cleaner (one each way). I did not have any codes since. It has been over a month now...

VSC Trac and VSC Off lights both on

I like it because you can leave it connected to the vehicle without it getting in the way while you drive( in the 100 series) and watch all the meters on your phone. Other cars might need extensions to avoid it being in the way of foot pedals, all depends on where the ports are in each...

VSC Trac and VSC Off lights both on

Some automotive stores will read and clear the CEL codes in the US. You can buy a code reader on-line and clear it yourself. There are wireless code readers that hook up to your phone that you can get on the internet for under $30 USD.

Crazy or just a gear head

Yukon Tranny issues on a vehicle that is less than 3 yrs old is unacceptable. You should get rid of in within 2yrs before it happens again. Whether you get a cruiser or not, make you the next vehicle is a Toyota. Never had a major problem with all the one I had. I was considering a Hyundai...

Crazy or just a gear head

I have not really spilled anything on the switches and don't find a need to repair at this moment. The P043 is still under investigation, seems to be a common problem. Changed all four O2 sensors and still no luck. Passed emissions and still clearing the code once in a while. Might change spark...
